BuilderBlack is a multi-tenant, hosted e-commerce platform that lets merchants create and operate online stores. We provide the software, hosting, and supporting tools; you provide your store’s content and run your business.
Eligibility and account registration
You must provide accurate information when registering and keep it up to date. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity by you and your staff under your account.
Acceptable use
- Do not sell illegal goods or services, or engage in fraud.
- Do not infringe the intellectual property or other rights of any party.
- Do not upload malware or attempt to compromise the security of the service.
- Do not scrape, overload, or disrupt the platform.
- Do not resell or sublicense the platform itself without our written permission.
Merchant responsibilities and content
You own your store content and are solely responsible for your products, your customers, your taxes, and your own policies (including privacy, shipping, and returns). You must comply with all laws that apply to your business.
Subscriptions, billing, and taxes
Paid plans are billed in advance on the cycle you select (for example monthly or yearly) and renew automatically until cancelled. Payments are processed through our payment processor. You are responsible for any applicable taxes.
Free plan and trials
We may offer a free plan or trial period. We may change or discontinue free offerings at any time, and trials convert to paid plans unless cancelled before the trial ends.
Refunds and cancellation
You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law or stated otherwise, fees already paid are non-refundable.
Third-party services and integrations
The service integrates with third parties such as payment gateways, shipping carriers, and marketplace apps. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.
Intellectual property
The platform, including its software, design, and trademarks, is owned by BuilderBlack. You retain ownership of your store content and grant us a limited licence to host and display it as needed to operate the service.

The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BuilderBlack will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold BuilderBlack harmless from claims arising out of your store, your content, or your breach of these terms.
Governing law and dispute resolution
